Professor Abdulmumini Hassan Rafindadi
Professor Abdulmumini Hassan Rafindadi was born on 15th January, 1957 in Katsina, Katsina State. He attended Rafindadi primary School, and Barewa College, Zaria finishing in 1974. He attended the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria for his undergraduate studies in Human medicine from 1975-1980.
He did his post graduate studies in the University College, Ibadan from 1986-1990 where he acquired the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in Pathology. He also attended courses in Southampton general Hospital, United Kingdom and the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom.
He has worked with the Katsina State Ministry of Health, before he joined the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in 1994 as a lecturer I and rose to the rank of Professor in 2004. He has served as Head of Department of Pathology in the Ahmadu Bello University, and a Dean, Faculty of Medicine, ABU (2006-2008). He was appointed as Chief Medical Director of the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) in 2008, where he was serving before being appointed by the Federal Government as the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the newly created Federal Univesity Lokoja in February 2011.
