Mrs. Olayinka Mary Adekoya hails from Ayere, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, North Central, Nigeria. She was born on 20th October, 1987 (Age 33 years) into the family of Venerable S. K. and Mrs. B. M. Akala. She attended Model/ILGEA Primary School in Ayere-Ijumu, Kogi State. Government Girls Secondary School Abaji-Abuja for her Junior Secondary School, Government Science College, Iyin-Ekiti, Ekiti State for her Senior Secondary School, Kogi State Polytechnic, Osara for her Interim Joint Matriculation Board, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State for her Bachelor and Master in Technology in Library and Information Technology (BTechLIT & MTechLIT) respectively. She served at National Library of Nigeria Headquarter, Abuja, a member of Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) and Nigerian Library Association (NLA). After her Service year, she works at Hammana International College, Minna and Farouk Bahago International School, Minna among others. She was employed in the University Library, Federal University Lokoja as Librarian II before being redeployed to the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Education, Federal University Lokoja of which she is the present examination officer of the Department. She is a devoted Christian and has attended a Bible School (Kingdom Star College of Ministry, Minna, Niger State). She is happily married to Pastor Simeon A. Adekoya.
