The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, has joined Kogites and the good people of Lokoja Traditional Area Council to congratulate the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV, on the remarkable occasion of his first year anniversary, acknowledging the exemplary leadership qualities the traditional ruler exudes since ascending the revered throne of his forefathers.
In a statement released by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Daniel Nwankwo, the Vice-Chancellor, who congratulated the royal father on behalf of the Governing Council, management, staff, and students of the University, fondly recalled the cherished moments he had personally with the Maigari - the royal blessings, wise counsel, and prayers which the monarch, on several occasions, graciously bestowed upon him, his administration, and the University community.
With great reverence and profound admiration, Professor Akinwumi offered heartfelt felicitations to His Royal Majesty, saying his reign has been marked by acts of generosity, compassion and selflessness within the past one year. "This remarkable milestone is a testament to your dedication to the welfare of your people, and we, at Federal University Lokoja, are happy to identify with your sterling leadership and the positive impact your reign has made so far on our communities," the statement read.
Impressed by his admirable leadership qualities, the Vice-Chancellor, describing the monarch as a father figure, noted that instead of hosting elaborate celebrations and fanfare, the traditional ruler rather chose to visit hospitals and extend gifts generously to the less privileged, exemplifying a leadership dimension rooted in kindness, selfless service to humanity, and genuine love for the people.
Professor Akinwumi equally thanked the monarch for his unwavering support for Federal University Lokoja and his firm belief in his administration, while offering prayers for his peaceful reign and continued success. "It is my earnest prayer that your reign will be long, fruitful, and glorious. May your legacies inspire future generations, and may the Almighty bless you with more wisdom, strength, and peace," the Vice-Chancellor added.
