FUL VC, Prof. Akinwumi Receives NMA Officials, Kogi State Branch, Reiterates Plans to Establish School of Medicine

Today, March
24, 2021, the State Officers of the Nigerian Medical Association NMA Kogi state
paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja FUL,
Professor Olayemi Akinwumi in his office at the Felele Campus.
In his address,
the state Chairman of NMA, Dr. Oyiguh Omakoji welcomed the Vice-Chancellor to
Kogi state and thanked him for his desire to start a College of Medicine in the
University amongst other laudable achievements made in his short stay so far.
He invited the Vice-Chancellor to attend the 30th year anniversary celebration
of the association that will come up in 2022.
The Vice-Chancellor thanked the association for the visit and kind words and urged them to see
themselves as partners in progress and as part of the University.
Other members
of the association present were the Vice Chairman, Dr. Abubakar Hassan, the
Treasurer, Mrs. Edith Agu, the PRO, Dr. Kelvin Jonah Bola, the Assistant
Secretary, Dr. Udebani Chimezie and Dr. Osaretin Okungbowa.
With the Vice-Chancellor to receive the
delegation were Dr. Magnus Chinemerem Ogaraku, a former Chairman of the
association and the acting Head of the University Health Services and Dr.
Joseph Salihu.
