The Vice-Chancellor
of Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi on Tuesday,
March 23, 2021 visited a student of Federal University Lokoja who is on
admission in the NDLEA rehabilitation centre.
The Vice-Chancellor
was accompanied in the visit by the Dean of Students affairs, Professor Joseph
Abel, the acting Director of Health Services, Dr. Magnus Chinemerem Ogaraku,
the Chief Counselling Psychologist, Chief Ben Aina and the immediate past Dean
of Students affairs, Professor M.S Audu.
On hand to
receive the Vice-Chancellor and his team were the state Commander of the NDLEA,
Mr. Alfred Adewumi and his team.
The Vice-Chancellor
admonished youths to focus on their studies and shun all unethical behaviours.
He thanked the Commander and invited him to a programme in the University
targeted on enlightening students on ethics in the University.
Mr. Adewumi
thanked the Vice-Chancellor for the visit and promised that the partnership
between FUL and NDLEA would bear better fruits as information sharing would
help the commission to break the supply routes of illicit substances.
