Decontamination of FUL against Spread of COVID-19 Disease

March 20, 2021
witnessed the decontamination of FUL against COVID-19 by the men of Federal
Fire Service, Lokoja, Kogi State.
Offices,
Lecture theatres and halls, Hospital wards, Hostels, Worship Centres and the
open grounds were decontaminated using Microcides and Virucides.
The Vice
Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi
had earlier on Thursday, 18th March, 2021 welcomed the team in his office at
the Felele Campus and detailed the Acting Head of the University Health
Services, Dr. Magnus Chinemerem Ogaraku
to liaise with the fire service team on the assignment.
The Security
team and the Environmental Sanitation Unit were co-opted in the assignment. To
have minimum disruption to academic and other activities, Saturday March 20 was
selected for the decontamination.
The University
premises have now been successfully decontaminated and is now safe for use by
members of the University Community.
