Public Hearing on the Bill for the Conversion of FMC Lokoja to FUL Teaching Hospital Holds at the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria

The Public Hearing at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the Bill for the conversion of Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Lokoja to Federal University Lokoja (FUL) Teaching Hospital was held at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja today Wednesday, 13th April, 2022.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, who led other Principal Officers and Management Staff to the important event, equally presented the University's Position Paper on the Bill for the conversion of FMCL to FULTH, just as the outcome of the Public Hearing was positive.

Members of the University Management present at the event included Professor M.S. Audu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics); Professor A. E. Bala, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration); Mrs. Rebecca A. Okojie, Registrar; Dr. (Mrs) Sarah D. Yani, University Librarian; and Mr. Sule John Shilo, Bursar.

Others were Professor Ozovehe Mike Ogirima mni, Provost, FUL College of Health Sciences (FULCOHS); Professor Hadi Suberu, Director Academic Planning; Mr. E.D. Obafemi, SSA to the Vice-Chancellor and former Registrar, University of Ilorin; and Mr. Benjamin Mshelbwala, Deputy Registrar and Secretary, FULCOHS; amongst others.
