It was all fun and celebration at the weekend game night organised by the Senior Staff Club (SSC), Federal University Lokoja, an event that took place on Saturday, 13th August, 2022 at the Club House, Adankolo Campus as members of the University Community and other guests came in their large number to experience a packed rundown of exciting activities and games as well as electrifying musical performances that made the day truly memorable.

Among those in attendance were the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi; the Provost, FULCOHS; Deans, Directors, Professors, and other senior members of the FUL Community. Other notable guests who graced the event included representatives of various security agencies, bankers, businessmen, and distinguished individuals from all walks of life, some of who made financial contributions to support the Club.

Indeed, it was another opportunity to promote love and unity among members of staff while strengthening the bond between FUL and the host community in a comfortable ambience filled with thrilling music and a variety of games.  

Speaking at the event, the Club President, Dr. Jeremiah Ayok stated that he was very excited about the turnout at the first game night, especially having the invited personalities enjoying the special moment with them with their esteemed presence.

Dr. Ayok expressed profound gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, not only for establishing the FULokoja Senior Staff Club but also for his unrelenting support towards the take-off of the Club and the success of the first event. He added that he was very proud of the Vice-Chancellor's tremendous achievements within a short period.

The high point of the joyous occasion was the presentation of prizes to winners of the raffle draw which included bags of rice, cooking oil, Indomie noodles, packs of soft drinks, bags filled with assorted items, and a ram - the grand prize for the overall winner.

The game night also featured the presentation of awards of 'Life Patron of FULokoja Senior Staff Club' to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi; and 'Patron of FULokoja Senior Staff Club' to Mr. Obika Okechukwu, CEO Godec Power Nigeria Ltd. Others were awards of 'Honorary Membership' conferred on heads of security agencies and some other reputable personalities who graced the event.
