The Management of Federal University Lokoja regrets to announce the death of Mr. Usman Musa Yakubu, a Deputy Bursar in the Bursary Department, whose demise occurred at the midnight on Thursday, January 5, 2023.

Following the sad news, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi led other Principal Officers and Management Staff on a condolence visit to commiserate with the family of the deceased at his residence in Lokoja, the Kogi State Capital, where prayers were offered for his peaceful repose.

The Vice-Chancellor on behalf of Management hereby extends his heartfelt condolences to his friends and colleagues in the Bursary Department as well as the entire University Community over the sad occurrence.

Until his death, Mr. Yakubu was a Deputy Bursar in charge of Operation and Students Account Division, having previously served as the Head, Expenditure Control Unit, and later as Head, Revenue Unit in the Bursary Department of the University.

The deceased has been laid to rest earlier this morning Friday, January 6, 2023, according to Islamic rites.
