FUL Matriculates 191 PhD Students at NILDS, Abuja as VC Charges New Students on Academic Distinction

No fewer than 191 postgraduate students have been matriculated into the Doctoral Programmes of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) under its Institute of Governance and Development Studies (IGDS) run in collaboration with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), National Assembly, Abuja.
 
The 2nd Matriculation Ceremony of the FUL-NILDS Doctoral Programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session, which took place on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 (today) at the NILDS Permanent Site, Airport Road in Abuja, witnessed students admitted into the various postgraduate programmes took the matriculation oath administered by the Registrar, Dr. Rebecca Aimiohu Okojie.
 
Out of the 191 matriculated PhD students, 131 fall under the joint partnership, while 60 were admitted outside the FUL-NILDS collaboration. The Doctoral Programmes of which students matriculated at the ceremony include Elections and Party Politics, Legislative Drafting, Leadership and Strategic Studies, Legislative Studies, Parliamentary Administration, Peace and Conflict Studies, and Social Works.
 
Others are Border and Migration Studies, Climate Change Resilience and Sustainability, Conflict, Security and Development Studies, Conflict, Security and Strategic Studies, Development Studies, Information Management, Leadership and Development Studies, Leadership and Security Studies, Public Sector Management, and Strategic and Security Studies.
