The Management of Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Director General (DG) of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr Tosin Ajayi, MON at his office in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi who led other Principal Officers, congratulated the new DG on his well-deserved appointment to the top position which he attributed to his track record of quality service, dedication, and commitment to national security.

The Vice-Chancellor seized the opportunity to solicit more support and collaboration with other security agencies to guarantee a safer and well-secured campus environment conducive for teaching and learning, urging the DSS boss to continue to give special attention to Federal University Lokoja.

In his response, the DSS DG thanked the University Management for the visit. He promised to sustain the cordial relationship with Federal University Lokoja, assuring that the agency would not relent in providing timely security support to the Institution.

Mr Ajayi is the immediate past State Coordinator at the Kogi State DSS Command where he performed creditably well during his tenure. Through his well-coordinated intelligence gathering and proactive measures as the State Coordinator, the DG assisted the University in providing adequate campus security coverage and ensured that no incidence of kidnapping or bandit attack was recorded under his watch.
