The leadership of the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), Federal University Lokoja (FUL) Chapter, has applauded the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi for his giant strides and relentless efforts aimed at transforming the institution, citing infrastructural development as one of the areas the administration has performed incredibly.
The university-based union made this known in a new year felicitation message addressed to the Vice-Chancellor on 1st January 2025 which was signed by its branch Chairman, Comrade Ilepinran Jibril Oni. In the statement, the union acknowledged the remarkable achievements of the Vice-Chancellor and his team of management, adding that the administration's outstanding performance has impacted the institution positively.
"As we reflect on the past year, we are delighted to acknowledge your outstanding achievements, which have positively impacted our institution. Your commitment to staff welfare has been remarkable, and we appreciate the efforts you've made to improve our working conditions.
"The infrastructural development projects you've initiated have transformed our campus, providing a conducive environment for teaching, learning, and research. The latest accreditation exercise of the College of Health Sciences is a testament to your leadership and dedication to academic excellence," the new year message read in part.
While commending the Vice-Chancellor for his transformational leadership and tireless efforts aimed at advancing the fortune of the fourteen-year-old University, as well as his unalloyed support for the union, the Chairman said that the association looks forward to a more robust collaboration in the new year.
