Dr. Anthony Danladi Ali is an Associate Professor in the Department of History and International Studies, Federal University Lokoja. He was born in the family of Mr. and Mrs. Baba Ali at Unguwar Rimi, Ward 'D' in Lokoja. He specializes in Economic History with the special focus on Transport History. He has taught for over NINETEEN (19) years in the University system beginning from Lagos State University (LASU) and has supervised undergraduate and postgraduate projects since 2003. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree in History and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos in 2011, obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) and a Bachelor of Arts Honors (B.A. Hons) Degrees in History from University of Jos in 1992 and 1989 respectively. He attended Saint Mary Primary School, Lokoja and Government Secondary School, Koton-Karfi. He has over SIXTY (60) published works in local and foreign journals to his credit. He has authored many books including Trade and Transport in the Lower Niger which is read across disciplines and Success in Economic History, a book read by undergraduate and postgraduate students of History and other Departments in Nigeria. He is the Founder and Editor of Journal of Nigerian Transport History (JNTH); a member of the Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN) and was a practicing Journalist in Lagos from 1995-2003; a staff of National Inland Water Ways Authority (NIWA), formerly called 1.W.D.; a Legislative Officer 1, in the Kogi State House of Assembly and was commissioned an Evangelist in the Catholic Church on 7 December, 2019. He is happily wedded to Mrs. Pauline Ali with children.
