Mohammed Suleiman Audu

Professor
Prof. Mohammed Suleiman Audu was born over five decades ago to Pa Sule Audu and Salamatu Atta of the great Atta ruling dynasty of Ebiraland, Nigeria. He attended his elementary education at RCM Catholic Primary School, Okene and St. William Primary School, Ilorin. He proceeded to attend his high school at Community Secondary School, Okene and Ansarul Islam Secondary School, Ilorin. Thereafter, he proceeded to the School of Basic Studies, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin for his advanced level certificate (IJMB and GCE A Level).
Prof. Mohammed Suleiman Audu graduated from Usumanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Bayero University, Kano and Benue State University, Makurdi where he obtained Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees respectively. His areas of specialties are in History, International Relations, Diplomacy and Peace and Conflict Studies.
Prof Audu has had an unbroken record of not less than two decades as a Teacher, Researcher and active Community Development participant. He has acquired immense experience as a Professor of History and International Studies with wide administrative experience as Head of Department, Coordinator and Director of General Studies, Dean of Students Affairs, two term member of Kogi State University Governing Council, Member, Governing Council, Kogi State College of Education (Technical) Kabba, Chairman and Member of over sixty (60) Senate, Management and Council Committees. He is currently the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja.
He is an Editor of several academic journals with over (50) fifty published articles in peer reviewed journals, locally and internationally. In addition, he has published (4) four reputable textbooks including, War and Peace in the 20th Century and Nigerian Peoples and Culture. Two (2) of these text books were published in Germany.
Prof. Audu has taught courses and supervised over 100 students at undergraduate and post graduate levels. He is an External Examiner and Professorial Assessor to over a dozen of Universities and Polytechnics in Nigeria. He is a Resource Person and Member of National Universities Commission (NUC) Programme Accreditation, Resource Verification and Open and Distance Learning (ODL). He is a member of several professional bodies.
He has attended several conferences locally and internationally and presented scholarly papers in his research interests especially at the Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany and the University of Sussex, Brighton, United Kingdom. He was the Chair and Leader of African Delegation to Virginia State University, Petersburg, VA, USA in April, 2019, where delivered a Key-Note Paper on “Modernization and Globalization in the 21st century.”
Prof. Audu has attended certificate courses in “Recent Trends in Higher Education”, “Interpersonal Skills and Public Speaking” at the Harvard University Extension School and “Management of Higher Education Institutions” at the Galilee International Management Institute, Israel.
Prof. Audu is widely traveled. He has visited several countries in the course of his academic sojourn. Some of the countries visited by Prof. Audu are Germany, Israel, United Kingdom, United States of America, Netherlands, United Arab Emirate, Ethiopia, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
He is a Jerusalem pilgrim (JP).
