Faokunla Opeyemi, born on 22nd June, obtained the bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State in 2006. He went ahead to obtain Masters degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan in 2011 and PhD degree in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in 2017. 

Faokunla Opeyemi started lecturing as an Assistant Lecturer in 2014 with Wesley University Ondo. He is currently ranked Lecturer I at the Federal University Lokoja where he joined in 2019. He teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students and has supervised eleven (11) undergraduate projects. He has about twelve publications with over 60 citations. Research interest include: Molecular drug metabolism and toxicology, lipidomics and phytomedicine
