Gilbert Izuagbe Osigbemhe

Lecturer I

Dr. Osigbemhe, Izuagbe Gilbert was born on the 29th July, 1980 to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Oghidi, Osigbemhe Matthew and Esther. He attended Odene Primary School, Ayogwiri, Uzairue, Etsako-West, Edo State, Nigeria. He first attended the Ayogwiri Grammar School briefly before proceeding to Benin City, Edo State in search of better education; where he finished his school sat at the Adolor College, Ugbowo, Benin City.

He was thereafter admitted to study industrial Chemistry in 1999/2000 at the prestigious university of Benin, Benin City. He graduated with a second class upper division in 2004. In 2005/2006 he was enlisted in the National Youth service corps which he served meritously in the FCT with an award of commendation from the authority of Federal Capital Territory and Federal Ministry of Industry. He became self-employed between 2006 and 2009 before joining the civil service as an assistant lecturer in August 2009 at Federal Polytechnic, Auchi.

While managing his personal businesses and some consultancy services, he enrolled for M.Sc (Industrial Chemistry) in Nasarawa State University, Keffi between 2008 to 2010. He graduated with a Ph.D grade from the University.         

He was admitted to study Ph.D (Chemistry) in 2012/2013, and in 2016/2017 he graduated with distinction from University of Benin. He rose to the cadre of Lecturer I; before transferring his services to the Federal University, Lokoja on January 3, 2020.

Dr. Osigbemhe, I.G is happily married to Dr. Mrs. Osigbemhe, Chiamaka Mirabel and they are blessed with four Children inclusive of a set of Twins.
