Dr. Olamikunle Osinimu Ogunleye holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics with First-class (Hons.) from the Kogi State University, Nigeria. Olamikunle also obtained a master’s degree in Physics from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, where he was a Commonwealth scholarship recipient. He was a Ph.D. Government of Japan (MEXT) scholarship recipient at the School of Material Science, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Ihikawa, Japan, where he specialised in Applied Physics. He started his lecturing career at the department of Physics, Federal University Lokoja in 2012 as a graduate assistant. He was then promoted to the position of Assistant lecturer in 2015. He has lectured
several Physics undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He was also a level coordinator and time-table officer at some point in his career.
Dr. Olamikunle’s research interest is in materials science, precisely in materials physics. He has published his research work in both local and international journals
and presented his work in conferences both
home and abroad. Dr. Olamikunle is a member of the Institute of Physics United Kingdom.
