Mr. Chris Yahaya is an experienced web administrator and social media officer who manages and updates the Federal University Lokoja's website and official social media platforms. He is the Head, ICT/Media Section of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. He provides technical support for the Vice-Chancellor and the office, while equally collaborating with the Public Affairs Unit for strategic, effective, and timely information dissemination.
He is very active and consistent in projecting the image of the Institution through regular uploads of information and news on the University's media handles. This has given Federal University Lokoja more national and international visibility and contributed to its improved rankings locally and globally.
As a pioneer staff, he is responsible for documenting and keeping media records of activities and important events. He is a multi-talented, innovative, hardworking, and passionate individual who has used his ICT expertise and combination of other skills such as web and graphic designs, photography, cinematography, photo and video editing, news reporting, content creation, and others to give FUL quality media visibility and social media engagement.
He has received several awards/recognitions and letters of commendation from the University Management for his relentless efforts, outstanding performance, and selfless contributions to the progress and development of the University.
He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, a B.Sc in Information Technology, and is undergoing an M.Sc in Computer Science. Mr. Yahaya is a registered member of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), an umbrella organization for all information technology professionals, interest groups, and stakeholders in Nigeria. He currently serves as the P.R.O. II of the NCS, Kogi State Chapter, and Chairman of the Welfare Committee of the Vice-Chancellor's office.
