Comfort Ometere Alabi is one of the pioneer staff of Federal University Lokoja who started as an academic staff with the University Library. She rose from the post of library Assistant to Librarians I She had served in various units such as the collection development unit, resources professing unit (Cataloguing and Classification); Customer Care Division (Circulation Unit) and Reserved Book Unit respective for the period of 2012 to 2020 until she was redeployed in mid- 2020 to the Department of Library and Information Science as Lecturer II in the Faculty of Education. She finished from Federal Government College, Kano. Then, she obtained Diploma in Library and Information Science from Bayero University Kano, from 1999-2002. A graduate of University of Maiduguri, Borno State, she studied Library and Information Science and obtained BLS degree then proceeded to University of Nigeria Nsukka and obtained certificate in Master Degree in Library and Information Science (MLS) and Doctor of Philosophy in same institution respectively.
Comfort Ometere Alabi is the current elected Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) treasurer Federal University Lokoja Branch, Kogi State. She is a chartered member of Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) and Member Nigeria Library Association (MNLA). She has to her credit papers presented within and outside the country.
