Abdullahi Emmanuel BALA is a Professor of Geology (Hydrogeology) in the Faculty of
Science, Federal University Lokoja. He holds the B. Sc. degree (Second Class
Upper Division), M. Sc. Geology (Hydrogeology) both from Ahmadu Bello
University Zaria in 1976 and 1981, respectively; M. Sc, Water Resources
Engineering from Vrije Universiteit, Brussels, Belgium (1997) and the Ph.D Geology
(Hydrogeology) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (2003). His current research is the application of satellite remote sensing to Hydro(geo)logical and Environmental investigations. He has supervised 3 Ph.Ds. He is currently supervising 2 Ph.Ds. He was appointed full Professor in 2012. He has taught full-time for 43 years. He is currently the
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration). He was the Dean, Faculty of Science
