AN ADDRESS DELIVERED BY THE VICE-CHANCELLOR, PROFESSOR OLAYEMI AKINWUMI ON THE OCCASION OF THE 13TH INAUGURAL LECTURE OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITY LOKOJA ON WEDNESDAY 5TH JULY, 2023

PROTOCOL

It is with great pleasure and a sense of profound honour that I stand before you today as the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja to welcome you all to the 13th Inaugural Lecture. This occasion holds special significance for our institution as we gather here to celebrate knowledge, academic excellence, and the remarkable achievements of one of our esteemed academic, Professor Ezra Shiloba Gbaje.

Today, we have the privilege of witnessing Professor Gbaje’s lecture titled ‘’Beyond Digitization: Access and Preservation.’’ This thought-provoking title speaks volumes about the ever-evolving landscape of digital technology and the challenges it poses to us as a custodian of knowledge. 

Professor Gbaje’s selection as the distinguished lecturer for this prestigious event is a testament to his unwavering commitment to research, teaching, and the pursuit of academic excellence. His illustrious career in his field, coupled with his invaluable contributions to our institution, has earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and students alike. Today, we gather here not only to celebrate his accomplishments but also to learn from his vast knowledge and experience.

Ladies and gentlemen, the 13th Inaugural Lecture is a testament to our unwavering dedication to the dissemination of knowledge and the pursuit of intellectual growth.
