A staff of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) from the Directorate of ICT, Godwin Sani, has been elected and sworn in as the new Chairman of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Kogi State Chapter. 

He was sworn in today during the 2023 Kogi State Techies Week organized by the professional body on the theme "Emerging Technologies," to explore the transformative power of new technological advancements and discuss their impact on society, education, and local content promotion. 

The epoch-making event was also organized to celebrate innovation and excellence in the field of computing and information technology. 

Mr. Sani's inauguration followed an election conducted on 20th November 2023 where he emerged victorious and took over from Dr. (Mrs) Ayodele O.S., FNCS who has completed her tenure successfully. 

He earlier served with the outgone executive as the State Publicity Secretary and Chairman, Education and Manpower Development Committee; a position he held diligently and committedly which earned him several commendation and an award of meritorious service.
