Some members of staff of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL), from Lokoja Local Government Area, visited the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi in his office to celebrate with him on the auspicious occasion of his 61st birthday anniversary.

The delegation, led by Professor Abubakar Mohammed, Director FUL Global Institute for Infectious Disease Control (GIIDC), commended the Vice-Chancellor and expressed heartfelt appreciation for his visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, and transformative strides in the development of the University.

Professor Mohammed said: "The Lokoja Indigenous Staff of Federal University Lokoja wish to express her profound appreciation for your visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, and transformative strides in the development of this great institution.

"Since your assumption of office, Federal University Lokoja has witnessed remarkable transformation in academic excellence, infrastructural development, and human capacity building. Your dedication to fostering a conducive learning and working environment has not gone unnoticed, and we remain inspired by your tireless efforts to position the university as a beacon of knowledge and progress.

"Your leadership has not only strengthened the institution but has also created opportunities for inclusiveness, professionalism, and the advancement of both staff and students. We acknowledge with great admiration your foresight in championing policies and initiatives that have propelled the university to greater heights. Your legacy will no doubt be remembered for generations to come.

"As you mark another milestone in your life, we joyfully celebrate you and pray that this new year brings you abundant blessings, good health and continued wisdom. May your leadership continue to inspire, and may this new year bring you even greater achievements and fulfillment in all your endeavors.
