The Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja who is the Emir of Fika and Chairman Yobe State Council of Chiefs HRH Alhaji Muhammadu Abali Muhammadu Idrissa CON has just paid an impromptu visit to the Univerisity. 

The University Management, staff and students turned out en masse to welcome the Royal Father who was passing through Lokoja for an official function somewhere but decided to pay the University a short visit.  His visit, which came ahead of the upcoming One-Day Strategic Meeting with Friends of the University and Illustrious Sons and Daughters of Kogi State, slated to take place in the University Auditorium, Adankolo Campus on Saturday, 13^th August, 2016 at 10:00am prompt, was well appreciated by members of the University community who came out in their numbers to warmly receive the Chancellor.

The Emir pledged his support for the University and promised to assist the University Management to achieve its set goals most especially the ongoing plans to move the University to its Permanent Site at Felele along Lokoja-Okene road through the initiative of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Angela Freeman Miri to gather illustrious sons and daughters of Kogi State and friends of the University on Saturday, 13th August, 2016 to work the way forward.
