The Vice-Chancellor, Federal
University Lokoja, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi has on Tuesday, April 20, 2021
presented himself before the Staff Audit and Credentials Verification Committee
for screening. This singular action of the Vice-Chancellor, which many
described as unusual being the Chief Executive, has received wide commendation.
In his remarks after screening the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of the Committee, Professor Mohammed Suleiman Audu said that the VC met all the conditions of the screening. "We authenticated his results and certificates, they are genuine. He’s an eminently qualified professor, so, he stands cleared,” the Chairman remarked.
Professor Audu noted that the Vice-Chancellor has displayed good leadership quality by appearing before the Committee he (the Vice-Chancellor) earlier set up to be screened like every other staff of the University. He added that such leadership by example exhibited by the Vice-Chancellor was exemplary, describing him as a humble and transparent leader with proven academic records with a shining example of commitment to hard work.
Similarly, all Principal Officers of the University including the Registrar, Mr. Usman Suleman Obansa; Bursar, Mr. Sule John Shilo and the University Librarian, Dr. (Mrs) Sarah Dauda Yani, and Members of the Screening Committee equally underwent the screening exercise as demonstrated by the Vice-Chancellor.

Onaolapo, Director Quality Assurance; Mr. Emmanuel Obafemi Senior Special Adviser to the VC and former Registrar, University of Ilorin, Mr. Benjamin Mshebwala, Deputy Registrar (Human Resources), as well as Leaders of ASUU, SSANU, NASU and NAAT, amongst others.
