My dear Muslim brothers and sisters,
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh!
As we joyously come to the end of Ramadan marking the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, I extend my warmest greetings and felicitations to the entire Muslim Ummah, particularly staff and students of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL).
No doubt, the past month has been a time of reflection, self-discipline, and spiritual growth for many of us. I am immensely proud of the support you all have shown to one another throughout the holy month. I particularly commend your spiritual zeal, diligence, and steadfastness during the fasting period.
As we mark the end of Ramadan, let us carry forward the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity that define the blessed month. Let us continue to foster a culture of inclusivity, understanding, tolerance, and respect for one another within our dear institution, the Federal University Lokoja.
On behalf of Senate and the entire University Management, I also want to express my profound appreciation for your dedication, hard work, and commitment to our common aspiration as a university. Together, we have achieved remarkable success, and I am confident that we will continue to excel in the days ahead.
May this auspicious occasion bring you and your loved ones abundant blessings, peace, and happiness. May the memories of the season further strengthen the bond of love and draw us closer to each other as we celebrate with our beloved ones on this joyous day. Eid Mubarak to you and your families!
Barka da Sallah to all Nigerians!
Warm regards,
Professor Olayemi Akinwumi
