The Steering Committees for the Establishment of College of Health Sciences and Faculty of Engineering in Federal University Lokoja (FUL) have submitted their reports. The presentation which took place separately at the Felele Campus had the Chairmen of the two Committees handing over their respective reports to the Vice-Chancellor and his Management Team.
While making his submission, the Chairman and Coordinator of the proposed College of Health Sciences, Professor Mike Ozovehe Ogirima, again, pledged his unalloyed commitment to the lofty dream just as the University Management was making frantic efforts to ensure the smooth take-off of the College in spite of the paucity of funds.
Similarly, Engr. Professor Lateef Onundi, the Coordinator and Chairman of the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering, reassured the Management of his Committee’s full commitment to pursuing the vision of having a world-class Faculty of Engineering in Federal University Lokoja.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi on behalf of the University Management thanked members of the Committees and expressed satisfaction. Professor Akinwumi, who was visibly excited about the submissions as well as the progress made so far, commended the Chairmen and Coordinators for the job well done. He enjoined them not to relent in their efforts but move further to the second stage of laying a solid foundation for the two programmes.
