It is extremely difficult to find the right words to console the family, friends, and FUL Community over the death of one of its finest Professors, Friday Garba Ogbe, a Professor of Zoology.

Before his death, Professor Ogbe was loved by many, especially those who worked very closely with him.

He held a very sensitive position in Management with very tangible evidence of warmth and humility.

Professor Ogbe was the Director of Entrepreneurship Studies, the heartbeat of this Administration. This Directorate which he superintended over before his death sits squarely on the practical aspect of my five years Vision Plan for the Federal University Lokoja.

Prof. Ogbe was very important and had laid solid structures for an excellent takeoff of the Directorate. But unfortunately today, without even saying goodbye; though he spent some of his last moments with me on Wednesday, died without seeing this vision through.

Professor Ogbe was on his way to his hometown that Friday, September 24, 2021, before the unfortunate incident that took his life, that of his daughter and one other.

I am pained beyond words as I try to search for phrases to pen down this condolence in honor of an example of hard work and dedication to service.

As an Institution, our hearts go out to his wife and remaining children in this time of sorrow.

We are comforted with the fact that he lived a happy, humble, impactful, and God-fearing life. His legacy will live through us all, particularly his wife, a survivor, his children, and other relatives.

Please, accept my deepest condolences and love.
