Again, one of Nigeria’s foremost STEM ecosystems, Thomas Adewumi University (TAU), Oko, Kwara State has appointed another distinguished staff of Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Mr Usman Abdulkadir Yakubu - an astute administrator par excellence - as the new Registrar of the University.

The announcement is coming barely three weeks from the earlier appointment of the HOD Computer Science and Director, Quality Assurance FUL, Professor Francisca Oladipo - a renowned ICT don and erudite scholar of international repute - as the new Vice-Chancellor, following an extensive global search by the Board of Trustees of the fast-growing Institution.

Mr Usman Yakubu is an excellent administrator with vast experience that spanned several years of his working career, served meritoriously in various positions and capacities, rose through all the ranks by dint of hard work, dedication, and commitment, and currently serving in the College of Health Sciences of the University.

He is also a registered member of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), among other notable professional bodies that have added distinctive substance and wit to his steady administrative career.

The historic appointments of these eminent staff as announced to the University Community by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi are good omens and portend greater things to come to the eleven-year-old University under the current Administration.

Also, this unprecedented achievement will go into the annals of the history of this prestigious University (FUL) as it is happening under the pragmatic and purposeful leadership of Professor Akinwumi, who, since assumption of office in February 2021, has continued to advance the cause and frontiers of development of our great citadel of learning - firing from all cylinders.
