Shortly after the inauguration of Professor Francisca Oladipo as the second substantive Vice-Chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University (TAU), Oko, Kwara State on 1st August, 2022, one of the first tasks that she undertook was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between TAU and Federal University Lokoja (FUL) to develop a robust academic and educational partnership that will be mutually beneficial to both Institutions.

The signing of the agreements between the two Ivory Towers took place after Professor Oladipo was ushered into her new office and received handover note from the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of TAU Governing Council, Professor Victor Olarewaju in the presence of the Founder/Chancellor, Engr. Dr. Johnson Bamidele Adewumi, members of TAU Board of Trustees, as well as the Management of Federal University Lokoja led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi who signed on behalf of FUL.

According to Professor M.S. Audu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), FUL who gave a summary of the scope of the MOU, the collaboration involves students and staff exchange for research studies, joint research activities and degree programmes, continuing education programmes, and technical assistance, amongst others.
