FUL Signs MOU with Thomas Adewumi University for Sustainable Partnership

Shortly after the inauguration of Professor Francisca Oladipo as the second substantive Vice-Chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University (TAU), Oko, Kwara State on 1st August, 2022, one of the first tasks that she undertook was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between TAU and Federal University Lokoja (FUL) to develop a robust academic and educational partnership that will be mutually beneficial to both Institutions.
The signing of the agreements between the two Ivory Towers took place after Professor Oladipo was ushered into her new office and received handover note from the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of TAU Governing Council, Professor Victor Olarewaju in the presence of the Founder/Chancellor, Engr. Dr. Johnson Bamidele Adewumi, members of TAU Board of Trustees, as well as the Management of Federal University Lokoja led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi who signed on behalf of FUL.
According to Professor M.S. Audu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), FUL who gave a summary of the scope of the MOU, the collaboration involves students and staff exchange for research studies, joint research activities and degree programmes, continuing education programmes, and technical assistance, amongst others.
It is expected that the signing of this important MOU would further strengthen the already established relationship and afford FUL and TAU the opportunity of working in close synergy with a view to boosting sustainable partnership between the two Universities.
Earlier at the inauguration ceremony, FUL Vice-Chancellor urged TAU staff and students to support and cooperate with their new Vice-Chancellor towards uplifting the standard of TAU that will bring accelerated development to the STEM-based Institution, assuring that they would enjoy her sterling leadership qualities. Prof. Akinwumi promised his Administration's continued support, adding that she would not walk alone.
In their separate remarks at the historic event, TAU Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor specially thanked FUL Management for the show of love and support for one of their own who has been appointed, as shown in their massive presence and participation at the inauguration ceremony.

The newly appointed and widely celebrated Vice-Chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University-TAU, Professor Francisca Oladipo has expressed profound gratitude to the Management of Federal University Lokoja, particularly the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, for the huge support and show of love before and during her installation as the second substantive Vice-Chancellor of the fast-growing University.
