A staff of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Mr. Nda Sule Okeme, has been appointed as the acting Director of Sports (Sabbatical) at the Federal University Wukari in Taraba State.

The appointment followed the positive report the University obtained about his exploits while he held sway as FUL's pioneer Sports Coordinator between 2012 and 2021. 

Among the onerous tasks assigned to him in the new assignment were to revamp sports and sporting activities in the University, and ensure that the Institution is well positioned to participate in the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) and other tertiary institution sports competitions, among other responsibilities.

Mr. Okeme is the Founder and Coordinator of a group of sports professionals known as Volunteer Coaches of Confluence City Basketball Academy in Lokoja, the Kogi State Capital. He is also a member of a high-powered committee set up by the FUL Vice-Chancellor to produce blueprints for sports development, among other sport-related assignments he has carried out in the University since its inception.
