The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi today (Friday, March 3, 2023) met with the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Mr. Cui Jian Chun at the Chinese Embassy in Abuja.

The meeting which centered on areas of collaboration to move FUL forward was also attended by the Secretary-General, Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU), Professor Yakubu Aboki Ochefu, among other members of the Vice-Chancellor's entourage who accompanied him to the important visit.

Some of the key areas of collaboration discussed during the meeting centered around the University's College of Health Sciences, exchange programme, and partnership in the provision of critical infrastructure for the University through Private-Public Partnership (PPP).

One of the cardinal objectives of Professor Akinwumi-led administration is to take FUL to the global limelight by establishing international linkages and collaborations with relevant bodies towards improving the quality and standard of teaching and learning in the University as well as attracting development to the great citadel of learning.

Earlier in November 2022, the Vice-Chancellor also led other members of the University Management on a similar visit to the Cuba Embassy in Abuja where he had a far-reaching discussion with the Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria, Her Excellency Clara M. Pulido-Escandell. See more pictures here
