- Prof. Marietu Tenuche Lauds FUL VC's Efforts

Yesterday, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi along with his Management team paid a courtesy visit to his counterpart at Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba (formerly known as Kogi State University, Anyigba), Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche, who warmly received them with great pleasure.

During the brief meeting, the two Vice-Chancellors discussed the need for collaboration between Federal University Lokoja (FUL) and Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) that would be of mutual benefit to both the State-owned University and the Federal Institution, while possible areas of the partnership were to be drawn.

In her remarks, Professor Tenuche, who was highly delighted by the surprising visit, applauded the efforts of the University Management under the leadership of Professor Akinwumi over the pace of development in the University since he assumed office.

Specifically, she mentioned that she was quite impressed when she got the information that FUL was among the Nigerian Universities and Tertiary Institutions that recently benefited from the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa) 5.5 billion Naira Grant, where FUL was awarded N250 Million for the construction of a Central Research Laboratory, saying that her University (PAAU) looks forward to also benefiting from the subsequent grant by ASR as her Management had just started discussing the modalities to kickstart the process for consideration.

Similarly, Professor Akinwumi commended the efforts of the PAAU Vice-Chancellor for providing quality leadership, as the first female VC of the State-owned University, which is already bringing positive changes and development to the citadel of learning. Click here to see more pictures
