A pioneer staff of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) and Deputy Registrar, Mr. Shamaki Nuhu Kaje has been appointed as the Special Assistant (SA) to the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Wukari in Taraba State. 

Mr. Shamaki, as he is popularly called, was recently released by FUL for a Sabbatical appointment with the Federal University Wukari, and has since been working in the Registry Department (Office of the Registrar) until his recent redeployment and upgrade as the SA to the VC upon his impressive and excellent performance within a short time which attracted the Vice-Chancellor's special attention and interest.

The "redeployment" letter dated 3rd April 2023 and signed by the Registrar of FUWukari, Dr. S. A. Bambur reads in part: "I have the approval of the Vice-Chancellor to redeploy you from the Office of the Registrar to the Vice-Chancellor's Office as Senior Assistant (SA) to the Vice-Chancellor. The redeployment takes effect from the date of this letter."

While congratulating him on his new assignment, the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, who received the news with joy and made the announcement during the weekly meeting of the Principal Officers Committee (POC) on Monday, 3rd April 2023 (today), urged him to be a good ambassador of FUL, and continue in his hard work and commitment to his duties during the Sabbatical period.

Mr. Shamaki was the Deputy Registrar (Senate Affairs Division) and former Secretary, College of Postgraduate Studies, among other positions and offices he has served in Federal University Lokoja since its inception. He has equally served as Registrar in acting capacities at different times in the two Federal Universities.
