Emmanuel Sule Uloko

Senior Lecturer
Dr. Emmanuel Sule Uloko was born on the 18th March, 1963 at Ogbago- Adoka, in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State to the family of Mr. and Mrs Uloko Odudu of Ijaha-Ochekwu, in Apa Local Government Area, Benue State. He is married to Mrs. Linda Amina Uloko and they have five children (three are females and two males).
He had his Primary School Education in ST. Mary’s Primary School, ST. Francis Primary School all in Otukpo then finished it at Holy Rosary Primary School, Adoka from 1971-1977 and his Secondary School Education in Government Secondary School, Otukpo from 1978-1983. He had his NCE in Mathematics/Physics from College of Education, Ankpa, Kogi State between 1987 and1990; his B.Sc. Ed Mathematics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) between 1991 and1996. He was exempted from National Youth Service due to age. He obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Management Science (PGDM) from Benue State University (BSU) from 2000 to 2002 and proceeded for his M. ED in Mathematics at UNN between 2002 and 2006. He started his PhD Mathematics Education in 2008, had his External Defense in October, 2010 and got the Senate approval of his result in 1st November, 2011 from BSU. Besides, he had some Computer trainings and Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria License
His first Government appointment was on the 5th March, 1991 as an NCE holder which he taught Mathematics and Physics with other responsibilities in Adoka Community Secondary School, Adoka and Holy Rosary College, Adoka for almost eight years. In 1998, he transferred his services to College of Advanced and Professional Studies (CAPS), Makurdi. a Government owned tertiary institution where he rose to the rank of Principal Lecturer (CONTISS 14), held many positions of responsibilities and finally left the institution as the Deputy Rector. In 2015, he changed his service to Kogi State University (KSU) as a Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 05 Step 13). In KSU also, Dr. Emmanuel Sule Uloko held many posts of responsibilities among which include an Ag.HOD of the Department of Science Education as well as Senate Member of the University. In October 2019, he got appointment with Federal University, Lokoja (FUL) still as a Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 05 Step 13). Currently he is the Ag.HOD of the Department of Science Education, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Education, Senate Member, Board Member of Research and Development/Center of Excellence, FUL, Faculty Representative, Entrepreneurship Development Committee, Member, 6-Man Committee on Expansion of Remedial Program, FUL, Chairman, 3-Man Committee set by School of Post Graduate Studies’ (SPGS) Board, FUL on Proposal for Seminar/Workshop for SCI801: Management Entrepreneurship and SCI802:ICT and Research Methodology, Member, 6-Man Committee set by SPGS Board, FUL to consider Lecturers that qualify to participate in both Teaching Supervision of Post Graduate Programs, Chairman, Disciplinary Committee, Faculty of Education, FUL, Member, 8-Man Committee on Constitution of Library Development Committee, Member, 6-Man Committee on Workshop for the Postgraduate Student on Research Methodology and Proposal Writing, School of Post-graduate Studies, FUL and some other responsibilities yet to mention.
As a Scholar, he has well over 20 publications in reputable Journals and Publishers. For instance, his last paper was a work he did during COVID-19 lockdown and published in a University based Journal (in Adekunle Ajasin State University Journal) as Uloko E.S (2020). Effect of the use of WhatsApp voice-call teaching platform during COVID-19 lockdown on primary one and two pupils’ performance in mathematics. Educational Thought, 10(3).64-70 to which Page 64 of the Journal began with the title of the article and its author as Dr. Emmanuel Sule ULOKO, Federal University, Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria.
