Angela Ngunan Atsanan (PhD) hails from Mbagwaza, Uhongo Local Government area of Benue State, was born on the 14th day of September, 1979 into the family of Mr. and Mrs. David Atsanan of Tse Korinjo Mbagwaza Ushongo local area of Benue State, the second child in the family of seven, a devout Christian, she speaks and write in Tiv language as the mother tongue and English language fluently. She attended saint Theresa’s Primary school Wurukum Makurdi, Benue State from 1984 to 1989 where she obtained her First School leaving Certificate and then enrolled into the prestigious Divine Love Catholic Girls’ Secondary School Kastina –Ala from 1990 to 1995 where she obtained her senior secondary certificate examination (SSCE) , the desire to improve in knowledge, young Angela gained admission into the Benue State University for a Diploma course in Banking & Finance from 1997 to 1999 for a Diploma certificate. She obtained her B.Sc. Banking and Finance degree at the Federal University of Technology Yola, Adamawa now Modibbo Adamu University of Technology Yola (MAUTECH) Adamawa State in 2006 and proceeded for her compulsory National Youth Service from 2007 to 2008 in Anambra State. Angela Ngunan Atsanan was gainfully employed with the Federal polytechnic Nasarawa, Nasarawa state as an Assistant Lecturer to Lecturer 1 from 2008 to 2019 and had over ten years working experience and occupied several administrative positions while working with the Polytechnic. she has Master of Science degree (M.Sc.) in Banking and Finance from the famous Nnamdi Azikiwe University from 2010/2011 to 2013 and Doctor of Philosophy in Banking and Finance (PhD) from the same University in 2018, before joining the academic Staff of Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State. Dr. Angela Ngunan Atsanan is a Teacher and has strong zeal for knowledge, reading and writing, her research area is basically finance, financial institutions and corporate governance and has published both in local, national and international journals and attended conferences across the globe and a registered member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and also a fellow of Chartered Institute of Financial Investment and Analyst of Nigeria (CIFIAN). Her vision is to be among the world scholars in the study of banking and finance through creative thinking and innovation.
