The Management of Federal University Lokoja under the leadership of Professor Angela Freeman Miri uses this opportunity to felicitate with our resilient, committed and hard working staff on the occasion of this year's International Workers' Day.
The University Management wishes to acknowledge your selfless service, sacrifices and contributions toward the growth and development of our great citadel of learning. Your tireless efforts and dedication to duty have brought about the remarkable and modest achievements we have recorded so far.
To everyone of you who has labored so hard and shown great commitment and determination for the University to attain the vision of its founding fathers despite the daunting challenges, we say "Thank You!" May God reward you all.
We are aware of the challenges many of you are going through as a result of the lockdown occasioned by the ravaging global pandemic (COVID-19), especially our dear students who have been on compulsory holidays since the upsurge of this scourge. Our thoughts are with you all, even as we pray for an imminent end to this deadly and invisible enemy, and that normalcy be restored.
As a Management, we have come up with safety measures to prevent any possible outbreak and to keep our community safe during the period of this lockdown and beyond. We will not rest on our oars in developing new strategies to ensure the safety of all Members of the University Community.
We therefore, urge our dear Staff and Students to stay safe by adhering strictly to all the precautionary measures put in place by relevant authorities.
Finally, the University Management wishes to felicitate with the Staff and Students on the commencement of this year's Ramadan and equally urge you all to use this fasting period to fervently pray for God's healing to those who are infected and an end to Coronavirus and other infectious diseases in the country.
Happy Workers' Day!
Ramadan Kareem!!
Stay Safe, Stay Healthy!!!
